Entries are now open for the Moray Game Jam. Scotland (and the UK’s) most northerly jam EVER takes place on the 14th – 16th of March at the University of the Highlands and Islands’ Moray College.
Teams are being sought to design and create a new and original game in only 48 hours. The prize is glittering. The winning team will be assisted and mentored by highland gaming behemoths Hunted Cow to complete and polish their game, then take it to market. Fame, fortune and the next Flappy Bird could be yours.
Moray Game Jam has been put together by the University of the Highlands and Islands’ Moray College, Hunted Cow and Screen HI to showcase the creativity and originality which overflows in the games sector.
If you’re a newcomer to the Jam experience or a grizzled, sleep-deprived veteran of jams and hacks, the Moray game jam needs you. Teams are welcome, but a Facebook group has been created to allow individuals to find and form teams.
This is a first for the highlands and it’s a project that’s receiving major support from the three partners, in an effort to bring the north of Scotland into the vibrant and rapidly evolving Scottish games sector.
