Codefirst: Girls is a free part-time course for female students, which runs on university campuses. The aim of the project is to address the gender imbalance within the tech sector and the fact that less than 10% of tech startup founders are female.
The organisation is partnering with TechCube to bring the programme to Edinburgh this March.
There’s a one day taster session taking place on Tuesday 11th March, followed by a code and create weekend on March 19th and 10th, which will focus on creating an interactive website.
Codefirst: Girls even offers a range of FAQs and online coding courses for those who want to teach themselves.
Codefirst: Girls is run by Entrepreneur First.
