SGN Launch – Hello Glasgow! 27th November 2013

SGN 001After several delays and changes in venue, the SGN Launch event finally reaches Glasgow.  Taking place on the evening of Wednesday 27th of November at GMAC in the Trongate, Glasgow, this is YOUR opportunity to find out our plans for the SGN, ask questions, provide input and help make the Scottish games industry better.

Last week saw launch events in Dundee and Edinburgh.  The Dundee event was not only sold out, but standing room only.  The Edinburgh event had one unsold ticket and some feisty heckling from the crowd.

So far the events have pulled in game developers, indie studios, universities, colleges, public sector organisations, artists, musicians, audio specialists, games and mainstream journalists, students, technology companies, MDs, CEOs and people from across the wider creative world.

gmac_logo_web2Space is limited to 60 places and tickets are likely to go quite quickly.  Everybody is welcome, not just those actively creating games.

To repeat ourselves slightly, the idea is to tell the industry at large what our ideas are for the network and how we can help everyone achieve more, find new work, access funding and ensure the games industry in Scotland reaches its full potential.

We need you there.  We want to involve, include and collaborate with everyone we can.  Openness, communication and transparency are the keys here.

You can book tickets on EventBrite.  After two rehearsals, the presentation should be sharper (and quicker) than ever before.

We shall look forward to seeing you there.

[Our thanks to the staff at GMAC for making this event possible and being entirely lovely]
