Pitching And Marketing For Game Developers – Free Masterclass From InGAME And Stephen Hey

InGAME is hosting a free pitching and marketing for game developers masterclass created specifically for videogame studios, delivered by games industry veteran and marketing expert Stephen Hey.

The masterclass is open to all game developers based in Scotland. It will take place (live) at the Malmaison Hotel in Dundee on the 6th and 27th of July 2022. There are ten spaces available to developers, with one person per studio attending.

Masterclass 1

Pre-Development Marketing Session

Wednesday 6th July 2022, 10am – 3pm

Stephen will walk you through the market research that should be done before you start to develop a game. Topics include:

  • Identifying your market
  • Benchmarking the competition
  • Who are the players?
  • What do these players want in a game?

Pitching Session (Part One)

Deliver a pitch for your latest game and receive expert feedback on preparing and presenting powerful pitches to platform holders, publishers and other parties.

Masterclass 2, Wednesday 27th July 2022

Build your marketing plan

What should go into your marketing plan? Topics include:

  • What will we need to plan for?
  • At what stages does everything happen?
  • How can we help ourselves and be campaign ready?

Pitching Workshop (Part Two)

In a group session, you will re-deliver your pitch by building on the best practice learning from part one. Expect open and honest feedback from your peers.
