The Scottish Game Developers Association is hosting as cosy fireside chat with the truly epic Dr Carla Brown, the founder and CEO of Game Doctor.
Taking place on Wednesday 30th June at 18:00 (BST), the fireside chat is free to attend and will take place online, thanks to the miracle of the Internet.
Game Doctor was founded in 2016 by scientist and gamification researcher, Dr Carla Louise Brown, PhD. After working in public health and education, Carla identified a need for accessible and measureable platforms for health engagement.
Game Doctor is the creator of Remedy Quest, a game aimed at children and young people which helps combat misinformation and anxiety around the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
In this chat, you’ll get Carla’s advice on following your own path in the games industry, and working in emerging markets. The SGDA also promises to cover working with the right stakeholders, as well as building a company from scratch and spending your funds effectively. We’ll also hear what it’s like to be a female founder in the games industry, including lessons learned, and why women are really good for the industry.
