Want a sneak peak at the next big thing in Scottish gaming? You’ll want to check out Game Dev Fusion, a “virtual immersive showcase” of work from students enrolled in the University of the West of Scotland’s Game Design and Development programme on Wednesday 5th May, 11:00-15:00.
The showcase will include students from the games course as well as those from other creative disciplines like Computer Animation, giving everyone a chance to show off their hard work to potential employers. It’s a great chance for folks already in the industry to scout out and support upcoming talent as well as for students to network with one another and create their own opportunities. That, we’d imagine, is where the “fusion” part comes in.
What’s more, the event will no doubt be a fantastic opportunity for young people curious about working in the games to learn about the industry as well as the courses offered at the University of the West of Scotland.
Game Dev Fusion will take place via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 5th May from 11:00 to 15:00. And it’s free to attend – just get in touch with Dr Gavin Baxter (LinkedIn or gavin.baxter@uws.ac.uk) or Dr Thomas Hainey (LinkedIn or thomas.hainey@uws.ac.uk) to find out how to participate.
