- Indie dev sells Non Non-Fungible Tokens, plants small forest – Developer Far Few Giants is selling gifs of upcoming game Imagined Leviathans to raise funds for the carbon-offset project Ecologi in protest of NFT.
- The price isn’t right, says Take-Two CEO – Strauss Zelnick is the news for the second time this week after saying AAA games are ripe for a price hike.
- Dekeing on the jumbotron – Fans compensate for the absence of real sports by playing NHL 94 in an empty American football stadium, using the scoreboard as a screen.
- EA employee faces permanent relegation for foul play – A member of the FIFA team appears to have been caught selling ultra rare in-game items for thousands of pounds.
- Trowel love will find you in the end – The lead designer from Everybody’s Gone the Rapture is bringing The Magnificent Trufflepigs, a rom-com about amateur archaeologists set in the countryside of the North of England to PC and Switch later this year.
- Fallout ensues as Bethesda reveals some games will be Microsoft exclusive – PlayStation versions of future Bethesda games are potentially doomed.
- Humble Cashcow, Batman! – Humble Bundle sales raised $30M for charity in 2020 including $4.6M in a single week with the Fight For Racial Justice bundle.
- Call of Call of Duty proves too strong for wanted man – An escaped prisoner in Birmingham was caught by police after coming out of hiding to buy Activision’s latest military shooter.
- President Evil? – The higher ups at Capcom reportedly forced workers to come to the office during the pandemic.
