The Rainbow Game Jam 2020 is now open for registration.
Taking place from the 15 – 29 August, the jam is open to everyone and encourages participants to create games exploring and celebrating identity, gender, sexuality, life, and love!
As the organisers say: Games are for everyone, and anyone can create games!
The first ever Rainbow Jam took place in 2016 and has grown annually, to include an ever more diverse and eclectic range of games.
In 2020 the jam will be run in collaboration with Out Making Games (OMG), a UK Video Games industry network for the LGBTQ+ community.
The organisers of the Jam, Steve Taarland and Kirsty Fraser, told us:
Since we started Rainbow Game Jam, it has been so incredible to see our community come together to tell their stories, share their experiences and create awesome games. We are so excited to see what our community does this year.
The theme for Rainbow Game Jam 2020 has not yet been announced, but in previous years have included spectrum, a safe space and community.
You can find out more about the Jam and see the results of previous years on the Rainbow Game Jam 2020’s homepage.
