Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan is suing Take 2, the company behind the Grand Theft Auto series for, allegedly making a character in GTA V an unequivocal representation of her.
Former child star Lohan contends that her voice and image are reproduced in the game, as well as styles taken from her clothing line.
In GTA V, the character, Freaky Friday femme fatale, claims is her, is Lacey Jonas, a spoiled diva-esque actress escaping from a crash of paparazzi. She gets cross when the pretend man in the game, does not know who the pretend lady in the game is.
The Parent Trap protege has been threatening to take Take 2 to court since late 2013. Most news sources consider it likely that the lawsuit will be thrown out under the normal parody laws, which stops every other satirical work being sued into the ground.
There are no reports which state exactly what the Herbie hottie is demanding from the law suit, though many sources state ‘serious money‘ has been mentioned.
GTA V is of course the single biggest entertainment product in the world, having broken numerous records since its launch in 2013. The game has currently shipped over 33 millions copies, with new versions for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC due for release in the next several months, those numbers are set to grow.
Neither Take 2, nor the Mean Girls media maven have commented upon the law suit.
Why a photo of Jennifer Anniston? Feart of getting sued if you put up one of la Lohan? 😉
