The Moray Game Jam, UK’s most northerly game jam kicked off this afternoon, with over 40 competitors, split between nine teams, taking part in the first ever Jam to be held in Elgin’s Moray College.
The teams have 48 hours to create something epic, based around the theme of ‘it changed the world’, chosen thanks to the college’s links with Alexander Graham Bell.
The event has been put together by ScreenHI, Hunted Cow and Moray College. The winning team will be offered the chance to have Hunted Cow help them to bring their game to market
The SGN team is on hand to act as a judge, mentor, designer for hire, writer, agony uncle, counselor, diplomat and ruthless producer.
The pro judges are Phil Harris (experienced writer, editor and designer), Dave Cook (award-winning journalist, deputy editor of VG247) and Andrew Mulholland (co-founder and HoofMaster at Hunted Cow).
We’ll be covering the event as it happens, here on the blog, via Twitter and on the Facebook group. Stay tuned, it’s going to get… interesting.
