UPDATE: Photo Shoot takes place on the morning of Thursday 29th.
Our good friends at Girl Geek Scotland are trying to show the world that women play an integral role in Scotland’s technology industries – including games. In a recent photo shoot for the Financial Times, a group of entrepreneurs was photographed on the roof of the TechCube building in central Edinburgh.
Not one was female…
Girl Geek Scotland are planning to recreate the photo with an all female cast. The photo shoot takes place this THURSDAY morning (29th August) at 09:15. Four founders and CEOs from Silicon Valley will be taking part.
Heidi Roizen, Venture Partner at DFJ; Karen White, Chairman and CEO of Syncplicity; Ann Winblad, Co-founder and MD of Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, and Wendy Lea, CEO of Get Satisfaction will be meeting eight companies for one to one ‘surgeries’ on 29 August before going to Scotsoft for the afternoon’s global forum.
If you’re around Edinburgh, or can make to Edinburgh, they’d appreciate you getting involved. E-mail Sara Lee at Hot Tin Roof to let GGS know you’re heading along.
