TRC Seeking Digital Media Project Manager

TRC Seeking Digital Media Project Manager

TRC_mediaYou may not have come across Glasgow’s TRC media yet.  The company is a charitable organisation, which delivers research and training programmes to the television, interactive and wider creative industries.

Like it or not, the reality is that digital and interactive media is fundamentally changing almost every aspect of the creative world.  From the way content is created, through to the way it is distributed, monetised and even consumed.  Despite having the tools and the skills to make drive this convergence, the games sector seems quite happy to remain isolated and insular, having little to do with the wider creative world.

A growing number of folks from the games industry across the UK have taken part in TRC’s flagship Cross Creative programme, which connects creators, company owners, designers and developers to the full range of creative industries, with the chance to meet some of the world’s leading innovators across film, tv, animation, digital and interactive.

Now TRC are looking for a digital media project manager, to help them deliver their astonishingly useful training programmes.

They’re looking for:

A strong communicator with exceptional organisational skills, you will have a background in creating or managing multimedia content and a wide understanding of the full range of creative digital media.

The post is offered as a 12 month, fixed-term contract with an annual salary of £37K. It is Glasgow based and will involve some international travel.

The project manager will plan, organise and deliver two top flight training programmes – Cross Creative and Smarter TV – in addition to organising international field trips.

  • Cross Creative is a digital media training programme for talented delegates from the full range of creative digital content – animation, agencies, games, design and platforms. Its purpose is innovation; to broaden the creative and strategic thinking of participants. Monthly training sessions featuring leading industry speakers are combined with international trips to Toronto and Silicon Valley to meet some of the world’s top innovators.
  • Smarter TV is designed for independent TV production companies looking to gain a fuller understanding of the second screen space. The aim is to help delegates explore the opportunities to extend their TV concepts across the digital value chain of smart devices including mobile, tablet and PC.

TRC Media is one of the leading providers of training and development programmes for the digital media sector. It is an independent charity working in partnership with UK broadcasters, creative content companies and public agencies to provide high-quality training opportunities.
