New Years Day in Edinburgh tends to be either a) a lot of fun or b) really very very quiet, depending upon how the participant spent the previous evening.
However, January 1st 2012 promises to be something quite different and a little bit special thanks to conceptual game hypothesists Hide & Seek. H&S has been commissioned to create a day of games across Edinburgh’s old town.
There are four games on offer – Throw Things at FOUND, Scotch Hoppers, Resonate the Labyrinth and Dreadnought, taking place in venues including the National Museum of Scotland and St Giles Cathedral.
Players can choose to join one of two teams – the Uppies (roughly north of the Royal Mile) or Doonie (South of the same).
It’s free to join in and the games offer a variety of challenges, so there should be something for just about everyone.
Hide & Seek has created some incredibly exciting experiences in the past, so we’re hoping this is another landmark event. We’ll – hopefully – see you there.
