Last Chance To Enter Your Game In The BAFTA Scotland Awards 2023
Entries are now open for the BAFTA Scotland Awards 2023. The awards recognise, honour and reward outstanding achievement in film, television and games produced in Scotland, and Scottish individuals working in the UK screen and moving image industries.
The final deadline for submission is Wednesday 10 May at 17:00. Entries to the games category are free of charge.
To be eligible, the game must be created by a company which has a ‘substantial’ base in Scotland and the developer must own at least 51% of the intellectual property (IP). The game must have been ‘released’ i.e. publicly available between 26 May 2022 – 10 May 2023.
The awards are open to all developers – from part-time indie creators and student teams, through to professional studios. Games can be for any platform, of any genre and use any business model, from free-to-play to subscription service, cloud gaming, premium content and beyond. Experiential and applied games are also eligible.
In previous years, the winners of the games award have gone to new indie studios as well as more-establised developers. The winners from the last several years are:
- Hercule Poirot: First Cases (Blazing Griffin)
- SOLAS 128 (Amicable Animal)
- Autonauts (Denki)
- Bekett (Secret Experiment)
- Observation and Stories Untold (NoCode)
