Zappaty Appointments

As Zappaty’s global user base continues to grow, the company has made two new appointments and created a new executive role.

Zappaty, based in central Dundee, the epicentre of the Scottish games ecosystem, has developed a solution for smooth project collaboration and secure backup within the Unity engine.

Appointments And Promotions

Jacintha Stonier joins the technical team as Senior Software Developer and Jess Watson has been appointed Content Creator. Nazan Ünlütürk, who joined Zappaty in January 2022, as head of marketing, has been appointed the company’s first Chief Growth Officer, a greatly expanded role which incorporates the breadth of activity being delivered across the wider growth strategy.

Jacintha brings a wealth of experience and passion to the team, having worked as a software developer for more than ten years.

Jess is a psychologist in training and brings her academic knowledge and theory to develop great content to help the Zappaty brand grow and engage with a global audience.

Nazan has worked in marketing and communication for several years in sectors as diverse as retail, food and drink and and travel and tourism, as well as videogames.

Ongoing Growth

Since opening beta testing up internationally, Zappaty’s user base grew by 400% in Q1 with a presence across 6 continents, and a further projected increase of 420% by Q3. To support this the company has expanded its core team.

With the games industry expanding by 3.2 billion gamers worldwide and a total revenue of $196B during the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s no surprise that indie studios are looking for faster, smarter, and more reliable solutions for their Unity projects.

Jacintha Stonier, Senior Software Developer at Zappaty, told the Scottish Games Network:

Joining Zappaty has been a great opportunity to be a part of something innovative and cutting edge. I enjoy working at Zappaty because everyone is friendly, dedicated, and passionate, it is a real team effort.

It feels good to be able to contribute to a product from the ground up and every day is a school day, so I feel like I’m never standing still.

Nazan Ünlütürk, Chief Growth Officer at Zappaty, commented:

I’m continually inspired by the focus and work ethic of the Zappaty team, it’s a really special thing to be part of. I’m so glad to be back in the Scottish games ecosystem connecting indie developers with solutions to problems they often face – the soon to be problems of the past!

Zappaty is currently in beta and are still accepting notes of interest to join the programme.
