On Friday March 25th 2022, the first ever Creative Tech Scotland Gathering event takes place at CodeBase in Edinburgh.
The event will bring together the entire ‘creative tech’ community across Scotland, for an opportunity to meet, share and showcase the data-driven innovation and creative technology that being created across Scotland. It will highlight the ways in which creative tech is being used across a wide range of disciplines in the creative industries to deliver innovative and pioneering new work.
The day will provide an opportunity to meet creators, developers and practitioners from other sectors, find incredible new innovations and creative tech uses from demonstrators and hear from founders, leaders and pioneers from the across the creative technology landscape.
The goal is to make the day informative, fun and ‘good for the soul!’
Led by Creative Edinburgh in partnership with CodeBase, Edinburgh Futures Institute and Creative Informatics, the CreativeTech Scotland Gathering is supported by the Scottish Government Ecosystem Fund in connection with the Scottish Technology Ecosystem Review.

Keynote Speakers
Michela Magas
Michela is a member of President von der Leyen’s High Level Round Table for the New European Bauhaus, Innovation Advisor to the EU and G7, with a track record of over 25 years of innovation. She is Chair of the Industry Commons Foundation and founder of Music Tech Fest Labs (MTF), a global prototyping community of 8000 creative innovator and scientific researchers. She was awarded European Woman Innovator of the Year in 2017 and sits on the Advisory Board of CERN IdeaSquare (ISAB-G).
Ben Radcliffe
As a Senior Technical Specialist, Ben works with Unity’s creator communities and influencers to advance the art and science of storytelling and digital transformation through the use of real-time 3D technology. Ben has over 20 years of experience leading international production teams, creating location-based entertainment, animation, and visual effects for companies such as Disney, Lucasfilm, and Industrial Light & Magic, as well as transportation design and visualisation for Gulfstream and Bombardier.
