Vision Scotland is the first dedicated industry event for Scotland’s screen industries. It’s also – uniquely – including the videogames within it’s definition of ‘screen’ creating a new opportunity for the games, film, television, advertising, animation and visual effects sectors across the country to learn from each other and network.
Rescheduled
The event was originally scheduled to take place on 6 & 7 of May 2021, however, following the recent announcements from the Scottish and UK governments, organisers Screen Facilities Scotland have taken the decision to reschedule.
The first Vision Scotland event will now take place on 9 & 10 September 2021. It will remain a virtual event, taking place online, with registered delegates able to ‘visit’ the event for six months following the live date.
The Audience
Vision Scotland is aimed at all screen and media production professionals, in all specialisms and locations, across all ‘screen’ sectors. Registration is free for industry professionals to attend, and there is also an allocation of tickets for students of screen and media production art and skill subjects.
Registration is now open.
The Programme
The programme for the event is still taking shape, but pioneers, business leaders and creators from across Scotland’s screen industries will be taking part in two days of workshops, talks, panels, presentations and networking opportunities.
There are opportunities for sponsorship and exhibiting at the event.
Screen Facilities Scotland
Screen Facilities Scotland won Screen Production Association of the Year 2020 for developing the concept of Vision Scotland as a digital trade event for the sector they represent, moving their member activities and communications swiftly to digital during the global pandemic, and collaboratively producing a promotional advert to showcase the screen talent in Scotland to help the sector bounce back from the production crisis felt by the event of the COVID-19 outbreak.
