Still looking for a job in games? Games Jobs LIVE: Games Republic is here to help.
The first ever online Games Jobs LIVE event was a huge success, with over 400 people participating via YouTube and Discord, and speaking directly to games companies in Scotland with vacancies to fill.
Colin Macdonald, the organiser of the event said at the time that he would consider another event, if the feedback suggested there was a demand for it.
We’re guessing he didn’t imagine it would be only a few days afterwards.
Colin has now partnered with Games Republic, the organisation which represents the games industry in the North of England, to run Games Jobs LIVE Mk II.
Taking place on July 14th, Games Jobs LIVE: Game Republic already features Red Kite Games (a Sumo Games studio) and Team 17, with other studios in the pipeline.
If you’re not aware, Yorkshire and the North East of England is home to a HUGE range of studios and game-related companies, from huge triple-A behemothss, through to cutting edge indies. Check out the Game Republic website for a rundown of members and updates…
And it’s right next door to Scotland, with a decent rail connection. What’s not to like?
You can find more information and sign up for the next Games Jobs LIVE event on EventBrite.
We’d also recommend following Game Republic. They’re not only a fellow regional game support organisation, so are entirely lovely, but they do really excellent work (much of which we’re planning to shamelessly replicate).
While you’re at it, follow Colin Macdonald on Twitter at the same time, for updates, reminders and additions to the rapidly evolving Games Jobs LIVE schedule…
