If you’re looking for a way to keep your creative, design and development skills sharp during the ongoing Covid19 lockdown, our friends at Indie Game Squad are here to help.
The group is planning a game jam (remote, obviously) later this month. Game Jam 192 will run from 12 noon on Friday April 17th, until 12 noon on Saturday April 25th.
This gives entrants eight full days (or 192 hours) to work on their ideas, while fitting it in around remote work, parenting, your daily mandated exercise regime and snacking out of boredom.
It’s free to enter and jammers will be able to keep in touch, collaborate and share their progress through a wide range of online channels, including a dedicated discord channel.
After the competition closes, there will then be 24 hours to play through the entries and vote for your favourite. Entries will be judged on game play, originality, how well it fits the theme, sounds / music and art assets.
Indie Game Squad will stream all of the games on Twitch following the competition. We’ll also carry the winning game(s) here on the Scottish Games Network.
You can read more about the jam and enter on the Indie Game Squad website.
You can also join the squad on their Discord channel, Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram.
Good luck.
