Good news for gamers (and game developers), Insomnia is bringing it’s mix of live gaming, eSports, live stage events, indie games and YouTubers to Edinburgh’s International Conference Centre.
Running from April 29th – May 2nd, Insomnia is expecting around 20,000 gamers, fans and families to watch live interactive stage shows, play a huge variety of games from AAA to indie, win prizes in tournaments on console and PC, see your favourite YouTube stars, attend panel talks with special guests, and check out the latest products and merchandise in the exhibition zone.
In short it sounds kinda awesome.
Day tickets are available for £20, while those who want to take their own PC/console can buy a complete event ticket for £85. You can even pick up an indoor camping ticket for an extra £22 (over 16s only). Students can get an additional 10% off day ticket prices.
Insomnia offers indies the opportunity to get involved and showcase their games at the event. Space is limited to around 20 x studios per event, so it’s a great way to stand out and let real players try your latest games.

Insomnia is already announcing a variety of special guest stars from the worlds of YouTube and Twitch, which should give the show zing, sparkle and confuse the living crap out of the mainstream media, television industry and anyone over the age of 35. More guests are being announced on a daily basis, so keep an eye on Insomnia’s Facebook page and Twitter account for the latest names and news.
