The list of nominees for the 2014 BAFTA Scotland awards has been released. Covering film, television, animation, games, documentaries and current affairs, the awards recognise the best in Scottish screen talent.
Each category has three nominations, from which the winner is chosen.
This year, the games category received nearly 30 entries, making it one of the most active categories in the entire competition.
The nominated games are:
- Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar North)
- Monster Legacy (Outplay Entertainment)
- Solar Flux HD (Firebrand Games)
The properly glittering, star-spangled and utterly glamorous ceremony, takes place in Glasgow on November 16th, where the winners will be announced.
Other nominations include James McAvoy (Best Actor) and Jon S Baird (Best Director) for Filth, Freya Mavor, Jane Horrocks (Best Actress) and Peter Mullan (Best Actor) and Dexter Fletcher (Best Director) for Sunshine On Leith, Sharon Rooney (Best Actress) for My Mad Fat Diary and Brian Limond (Best Writer) for Limmy’s Show! Christmas Special.
