Bit Socket To ‘Em

The Bit Socket boys are back with a brand new pilot episode of their online video games show. Scott and Joe have put together a programme that:

…celebrates games and entertains audiences of all abilities; using the accepted language and standards of TV to bring video games to a wide audience.

The team are now looking at various options for funding a whole series of the show and a variety of associated content and materials including an all new website and a podcast series.

vlcsnap-2014-06-30-10h25m27s33When we spoke to Joe he told us that for many companies in the television world, games are still seen as of purely niche interest. With the incredible size, scale and diversity of today’s games market, that seems a little… short-sighted to say the least.

The Bit Socket team are interested in speaking to anyone interested in commissioning, or helping to develop Bit Socket into an unstoppable media juggernaut of extended awesome.

vlcsnap-2014-07-03-11h03m54s60If you are a commissioning editor, angel investor, entrepreneur, media mogul, games pioneer, interactive expert or television producer, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

Contact the Bit Socket team for more information.

In the meantime, watch the show. Leave feedback…

vlcsnap-2014-07-03-11h11m14s107Clearly, the lack of any sort of mainstream games coverage on national TV is starting to really get to people. Only a couple of weeks ago we announced the launch of Games Lounge, another Scottish-based games show. With the passion and expertise which is clearly out there, it can only be a matter of time before Scotland regains it’s position as the creator of the best games coverage on television.
