YoYo Games, has announced a strategic partnership with Sony to bring PlayStation support to their flagship Game Maker technology.
This will enable Game Maker: Studio users to create and publish games for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita consoles.
The GameMaker: Studio open beta for licensed PlayStation developers is available now.
GameMaker: Studio’s exports for PS4, PS Vita and PS3 are currently in development, with availability to licensed developers expected on the following dates:
- April 30 – PS4
- May 30 – PS Vita
- June 30 – PS3

Today’s announcement is a major milestone in our strategy to make powerful, cross-platform game development more widely accessible. It’s particularly good news for the Indie development community in that it will remove the complexity barrier that exists in delivering Indie gaming experiences to PlayStation users.
