YoYo Games, the company behind the popular Game Maker: Studio, which puts game development into the hands of everyone, has announced its Tizen Game Drive offering $60,000 in cash prizes to developers around the world.
Tizen is of course the new open-source operating system for devices such as smart phones, tablets, cameras, smart TVs, in-vehicle infotainment and so forth, supported by the Linux Foundation.
The Tizen Game Drive runs until January 31, 2014. It features a competition as well as a cash prize giveaway open to all entrants.
YoYo Games will award cash prizes to entries judged on: graphics, audio, controls, gameplay and fun! In addition, all entrants are automatically entered into the prize draw offering 40 lucky individuals prizes of $1,000 each.
Prizes on offer include:
- 1st place will receive $10,000 (one winner)
- 2nd place will receive $2,500 (two winners)
- 3rd place will receive $1,000 (five winners)
- 40 x Prize draw winners will receive $1,000
