MCV recently published its 30 Under 30 list, highlighting those in the games industry who are contributing to the games industry, despite their tender years and innocent delight in all things game related (bar development).
We posted a call for entries from the industry in Scotland, but the focus on areas outside game development stopped many from applying.
Now MCV’s sister publication Develop is putting together their 30 Under 30 list and are looking for those involved in game development who are still flowering, maturing and exulting in their callow youth.
If you’re involved in the development sector, if you’re under the age of 30 and you believe you have something to contribute to the games industry, then contact Develop now. You can nominate yourself, members of your team your colleagues and peers. E-mail James.Batchelor@intentmedia.co.uk. Deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday, November 8th.
We didn’t manage to get anyone under 30 from Scottish companies into the MCV list (though Ben from Stick Twiddlers received an honourable mention…) so now’s our chance to SHOW THE WORLD!
We’re planning our own series of arbitrary age-based lists focusing on the Scottish games and interactive sector, starting in early 2014, as it seems like the thing to do. Until then however, we heartily recommend you nominate someone for Develop’s list and show the world that Scotland is vibrant, up-and-coming and not afraid to stay out quite late listening to loud music and doing shots.
