We’re always delighted to find out about a new company and working in and around Scotland’s interactive sector. So please welcome Glasgow’s Flipware and their first title, Cutant Mutant Invasion.
The company was founded by former members of mobile development studios Tricast Media, creators of the first J2ME UI toolkit and Picsel Technologies, the developer of File Viewer and Smart Office for handhelds.
Flipware promises that Cutant Mutant Invasion offers a new type of gameplay, which combines tower defence with ‘line drawing’.
From the games’ promotional video, we can see that the player must drag a finger across the screen to lead friendly troops towards the relentless attacking enemies, whereupon they will fight, savagely. Featuring a wide range of adorably mutated animals, the goal of the game is to protect your home, family and loved ones from a ferocious, yet entirely precious and sweet onslaught of cute and cuddly horror.
Cutant Mutant Invasion is out now for iOS devices on the Apple App Store, as well as Android devices via Google Play.
Go now and save mankind. Quickly, quickly, or we’ll come back and eat such brains as you have remaining…
