Dundee development studio Digital Goldfish, the company behind the Bloons games on iPhone, is to sponsor the shorts for Dundee United football team for the coming season.
Fulfilling a lifelong dream (they tell us), the company’s logo will appear on the shorts of the Dundee United team throughout the 2012-2013 season.
Digital Goldfish are not only responsible for Bloons, but have released titles including Mr Bump, Max Damage and The World’s Strongest Man. Not to mention the awesomely-named and much anticipated point-and-click adventure title Chip Trippington & The Kwiff Frizz Quiz.
Dundee United Chairman, Stephen Thompson, told us:
“Digital Goldfish are a young and highly motivated company with a determination to provide the highest quality games across several platforms in a thriving business environment. We are thrilled that they have chosen Dundee United’s first team shorts as their platform to enhance brand awareness.”
Barry Petrie, Studio Director of Digital Goldfish, called us, very excited:
“As lifelong fans of Dundee United it is a great honour to sponsor the Club. This deal provides nationwide exposure for Digital Goldfish and will help us to establish our business within the local community. We are excited by the current squad and can’t wait to see what Peter and the boys produce next season.”
Regardless of your feelings about Dundee United – or football, this deal will put Digital Goldfish in front of a national audience and should many more monkey-based balloon popping escapades over the next year.
The launch of Dundee United’s new home kit for season 2012-13 will take place on Friday 8th June 2012 and this will be the first opportunity to see the new logo on the home shorts.
