Games Cross-Party Group Postponed to November Due to Parliamentary Business

The next meeting of the Cross-Party Group on Scotland’s Ecosystem (aka the Games CPG) on Scotland’s Games Ecosystem, which was scheduled to take place at the Scottish Parliament on September 23rd, has been cancelled due to a late sitting in the parliamentary chamber.

The legislative business means that MSPs are now required to be in the chamber until late in the evening, making the scheduled meeting impossible.

The meeting has now been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 18th, 2025.

Scotland’s Games Action Plan Complete & Ready for Presentation

While the postponement is due to unavoidable parliamentary scheduling, the new date provides a clear timeline for the formal presentation of the recently completed Games Action Plan for Scotland.

The Action Plan, a comprehensive strategic document created in consultation with the entire Scottish games ecosystem, is now finalised. The November CPG meeting will now serve as the official political launchpad for the blueprint, offering a dedicated forum for MSPs to engage directly with the final document and discuss the path to its adoption and delivery.

The culmination of nearly two years of work, the Games Action Plan represents a hard-fought consensus on the steps required to build a globally competitive, sustainable, and supportive ecosystem. With the document now complete, the focus shifts to its implementation.

Next Games CPG November 18th
