Scotland’s vibrant animation sector is gearing up for the return of its flagship event, the MOVE Animation Summit 2025. This highly anticipated gathering will bring together industry leaders, practitioners, and emerging talent for three days of inspiration, networking, and celebration of animation.
Conceived in 2016 by Edinburgh-based animation studios Interference Pattern and Stampede, the MOVE Summit was born from a desire to connect practitioners across the diverse landscape of Scottish commercial animation. From film and television to advertising, games, design, architecture, theatre, and visual arts, the summit recognises the shared passion for the craft of animation that unites these creative fields. It aims to foster stronger commercial connections across Scotland, the UK, and internationally.
Since its inaugural event in 2017, MOVE Summit has grown from a one-day event featuring UK talent to a multi-day conference attracting international speakers and renowned studios. Previous contributors have included industry giants such as Pixar, Netflix, Disney, Industrial Light and Magic, Rockstar Games, and Epic Games, alongside leaders from the UK’s commercial animation, VFX, games and CGI sectors.
MOVE Summit 2025 promises to be the biggest and best yet, with a packed programme designed to cater to both established professionals and aspiring animators.
