The Ada Scotland Festival is back for its fifth consecutive year, running from the 1st – 11th October 2024. The festival champions gender balance in tech and computing, providing inspiration for young people and building a stronger, fairer, more diverse workforce for the future.Â
Volunteers Wanted
This year, the team behind the festival would like to offer young people the chance to learn more about the skills and roles across the games sector, and they are asking for help from Scotland’s developers and studios.
The festival is asking for people with experience in any of the key skills – including (but not limited to) coding, design, art, animation, play testing, music and/or audio, who can put together a 30-minute session for a group of young people.
Glasgow – October 8th
The session will take place on Tuesday, October 8th at Barclays Eagle Lab in central Glasgow. There will be around 60 young people there from 10:00 to 14:00, moving around each activity. Ideally, there would be six different activities available, giving each volunteer a group of around 10.
If you are interested in helping out and giving young people a chance to learn more about designing and making games, Ada Scotland would like to hear from you. Contact the team directly at hello@ada.scot.
