Grave Gunner – a brand-new first-person shooter from one-man indie studio Dire Quoll – is OUT NOW for Windows PC via Steam.
The game is a slick, fast-paced gothic gun-slinging adventure through nightmarish legions of the undead. Players take the role of the gunslinger, dual-wielding powerful pistols and avoiding the endless waves of enemies with old-school shooter-style movements (sliding, rocket jumping, and bunny hopping) , in levels where your avoidance and acrobatics are as vital as your precision and marksmanship.
Players must pick up gems from defeated monsters to regain their health and stay in the fight longer.
Features
Grave Gunner features thirteen waves of mayhem, with distinctive monster types and ever-increasing difficulty and challenge. According to developer Dire Quoll:
While the basic mechanics are easy to pick up, great skill is required to master the intricacies of the movement and the quick aim to vanquish your enemies swiftly.
The early waves should be relatively easy for veteran FPS players, introducing the various enemy types that you will be encountering. The later waves, however, quickly ramp up in difficulty. Only the most elite gunslingers shall defeat the final, almost impossible waves.
Development
Grave Gunner is the work of lone developer Dire Quoll, aka Jonathan Dent. Starting in January 2022, design and development of Grave Gunner is Jonathan’s first commercial release.
