Barclays Entrepreneur Awards 2024 – Entries Open

Nominations are now open for Barclays 2024 Entrepreneur Awards, with one category specifically aimed at innovation in games.

This is the ninth year of the awards, which celebrate entrepreneurs who are committed to disrupting the status quo and driving innovation, supporting their communities and the wider economy.

You can nominate your own business – or others who’ve demonstrated the passion and skills that have turned unique visions into reality.

The 2024 categories are:

  • Start-up Award, sponsored by Barclays Business Banking – for entrepreneurs who have started new, fast-growing businesses.
  • High-growth Company Award, sponsored by Propel – for those who have achieved year-on-year growth and/or market traction.
  • Scale-up Company Award, sponsored by Propel – recognising entrepreneurs who have achieved notable growth and market success.
  • Innovation in Games Award, sponsored by Barclays Games – celebrating games companies that have not only embraced change in an industry that’s constantly evolving, but actively sought to revolutionise the entire landscape.
  • Innovation in Climate Tech Award, sponsored by Visa – recognising entrepreneurs which are innovating to address climate change and work towards net zero.
  • Innovation in Health and Sciences Award, sponsored by Eagle Labs – for those who have developed new and emerging technology that’s designed to solve some of society’s biggest healthcare challenges.
  • Innovation in AI Award, sponsored by Visa – recognising entrepreneurs who have fast-growing AI businesses.
  • Business Resilience Award, sponsored by Barclaycard Payments – celebrates the unstoppable spirit of entrepreneurs and businesses that have overcome a significant challenge, battled through setbacks, and pushed on to take their business to the next level.
  • Serial Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by Private Bank – for an individual who excels in launching and managing multiple ventures or business exits, and who embodies innovation, resilience, and leadership excellence.

Entries are FREE and can be made across a maximum of two categories.

Nominations need to be submitted by 23:59 on Friday, 28 June. Terms and conditions apply.

From idea to IPO, the UK’s entrepreneurial spirit is at the heart of the awards. The prestigious awards ceremony later this year, will highlight founders and their businesses, drawn from across the country, who have taken the bold step steps to start, scale, and in some cases exit their business to start again.

Terms & Conditions

Award categories (except for the Serial Entrepreneur Award) are open to UK-based companies that meet the following criteria:

  • United Kingdom residents
  • Have a UK business
  • Be registered/established in the UK
  • Have a UK-based trading address
  • Have a UK-based key official or senior manager
  • Be able to evidence UK trade

The Serial Entrepreneur Award is open to UK-based founders who meet the following criteria:

  • United Kingdom residents
  • Have or have had a UK business
  • Be registered / established in the UK or be previously registered on Companies House (for exits)
  • Be able to evidence UK trade or previous UK trade
