RSNO Brings Video Game Music from Console to Concert this May

The Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) are bringing their Video Games Music in Concert show to both Glasgow and Edinburgh this summer, with performances at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (2 May) and the Usher Hall (3 May). Both nights will deliver classical takes on iconic video game tracks, hailing from the likes of The Last of Us and Super Mario.

Conducted by the RSNO’s Eímear Noone, the “Irish Queen of Games Music”, who has also contributed original compositions to World of Warcraft, Video Games Music in Concert will present songs from a range of popular titles, including World of Warcraft, Resident Evil, The Last of Us, Halo, Call of Duty, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Super Mario.

This follows on from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s Video Games in Concert series at the Royal Albert Hall last year, a similar show also conducted by Noone. These new dates will give Scottish fans the chance to enjoy their favourite game soundtracks on a much grander scale than they’re used to, allowing their full drama and majesty to shine through.

Tickets for the RSNO Video Games Music in Concert start at £19 and can be booked here.
