Blinnk and the Vacuum of Space to Provide VR Experience for Autistic Players next January

Glasgow’s Changingday, a studio dedicated to creating VR experiences for autistic players, have announced their plans to release their debut title, Blinnk and the Vacuum of Space, on both SteamVR and Green Man Gaming next January.

A Space for Everyone

Blinnk has been designed with accessibility at its core; stepping into the stainless steel shoes of titular robot, players will take part in a series of tasks across the Norpopolis Space Station, from fishing to power washing an alien’s teeth. These tasks have been built from the ground up for autistic players, and are designed to be enjoyable and engaging, without fail states to worry the player.

Beyond this, there are additional accessibility options as well, letting players “Fine tune the world around them” in ways that allow them to experience the game on their own terms, according to their own individual needs. These options, as well as every other aspect of the game, have been developed with the involvement of autistic people from the start, ensuring that this is an experience they can play and enjoy to the fullest.

Blinnk and the Vacuum of Space will be released on SteamVR and Green Man Gaming on the 17th of January, 2023 priced at £20. You can check it out and wishlist it here and here, respectively, and we’ll be back with more coverage when the game launches next year!
