The Edinburgh Futures Institute is hosting a unique ‘FashionTech Gathering’ Event at Edinburgh University this December.
This event will discuss the ways in which the fashion and technology industries overlap and intertwine, and the ways in which they could continue to do so in the ever-evolving world of the future.
Spotlighting and celebrating the ways in which fashion is more applicable than ever in our modern, digital world, the event will look at how fashion and technology can work together to achieve unheard of things, including AI-assisted fashion design, robotic textile surfaces, and fashion integration in the metaverse.
In addition, the event will also discuss the ever-rising need for sustainability, and the ways in which a tech-backed approach to fashion can help us reach that goal. This excellent content will be delivered via workshops and presentations, with plenty of opportunities for networking as well.
The event takes place on Friday the 2nd of December, at the University of Edinburgh’s Bayes Centre. Tickets are free, and can be booked here.
