Daniel Waine, a recent graduate from University of West Scotland’s Games Technology program has been awarded one of the prestigious IGDA Scholarships to attend E3 in Los Angeles next month. This means he’ll be attending the show as an industry insider, gaining special access both on and off the show floor, receive one-on-one mentorship from an industry veteran and tour local LA studios.
Daniel has just completed his fourth year studying Computer Games Technology at UWS. He enjoys taking part in game jams, finishing third place in the recent Moray Game Jam. He has been an active member of IGDA Scotland for two years and enjoys hearing about projects being undertaken locally. Most recently Daniel has been working for Hunted Cow Studios in Elgin as a Scenario Designer.
IGDA Scotland’s Andrew Macdonald told us:
We’re ecstatic to see another Scottish student representing our bonnie nation and chapter on the world’s stage as an IGDA Scholar at E3. The application process is always extremely competitive, so we’re immensely proud of Daniel’s achievement in impressing the judges. We wish him the very best of luck, and can’t wait to hear of his adventures in Los Angeles.
Congratulations Daniel. We’d like to hear about it too…
