The nominations for the 2014 Develop awards have been announced, with Scotland making a moderate contribution towards the nominee list.
The competition has 24 categories, with 136 companies fighting for the trophies, which will be handed out at the Develop Awards in Brighton on July 9th 2014.
There list includes 68 games studios, ranging from one-man indies to 100-plus strong teams, representing 14 different European countries.
There are also 46 games shortlisted in categories rewarding their outstanding gameplay, visuals, audio, music, technical innovations and the creative talent behind them.
The Scottish companies up for awards are:
- Visual Arts – Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar North)
- Engine – Game Maker Studio (YoYo Games)
- Services – deltaDNA
- Creative Contribution Visuals – Fable Legends Trailer (Axis Animation)
- Recruiter – Specialmove
- Talent Investment – Dare to be Digital (University of Abertay, Dundee)
- Micro Studio – Guerilla Tea
- In-House Studio – Rockstar North
