Drop In And Play III – Call For Developers

timthumbDundee Contemporary Arts centre, NEoN digital arts festival and Quartic Llama are looking for developers to participate in the third annual Drop In And Play.

Drop In And Play is a free public event which takes place on Saturday 9th of November at the DCA from 4pm – 6pm.  It’s open to kids, families and gamers.

Drop_in_and_Play_web5In recent years the event has attracted several hundred players, who played newly released, unfinished and experimental games, talk to the developers and give feedback on the games played.

Drop In And Play is now looking for developers and teams who’d like to showcase their new games…

We’re looking for new and unreleased games made in Scotland, and in particular Dundee. Games must be a finished product or playable prototype and suitable for all ages. The event will be a relaxed format where the public get a chance to interact with developers and their creations. Applications from individuals, students and small companies are all welcomed. You will be expected to supply the computer or device needed to demonstrate your project. DCA and NEoN will promote the event and your involvement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to have your game played by members of the public and get their feedback. For more information please contact mal@quarticllama.com by 25 October 2013.

Drop_in_and_Play_web2Drop In And Play is a great event and one of the few public facing opportunities for developers to get out there and ask ordinary people to come and play their games.

If you’ve got a game nearing completion, or a project you’ve been unsure about for a while, this could be a wonderful opportunity to get real input from people.  And you’re participating in NEoN, one of the most exciting digital arts festivals in the world.

If you’re interested in participating, speak to Mal now.
