The showcase allows independent game developers to demonstrate and show off their games to Dare visitors. If you’ve not been paying attention to previous posts about the unstoppable behemoth which is Dare, this is around 10,000 people over the course of four days.
That’s a lot of eyeballs and attention.
Independent developers can register their interest and secure a space at the showcase by filling in an online form. In 2013 the showcase has been split into two separate groups covering the Thursday/Friday (8th & 9th of August) and Saturday/Sunday (10th/11th of August).
Anyone can enter, though Dare will give priority to newly released or unfinished games will be given priority.
Alongside the game jam, indie festival, showcase for the Dare to be Digital competition entries and indie games conference, Dundee in mid-August is without a doubt the single most exciting place to be for games companies.
