Towards the end of last year, several companies in Scotland were nominated in several competitions (and end of year ‘best of’ lists), most of which focused on the ‘tower defence’ genre. Cobra’s iBomber Defense Pacific, Ninja Kiwi’s Bloons TD5 and Lucky Frame’s Bad Hotel were all featured, nominated and highlighted as worthy titles.
The awards have been running for several years now. They cover every platform, every type of massively multiplayer online game and specialist skills such as Best Community Management.
“We’ve worked very hard with Celtic Heroes to show that a massively-multiplayer experience on mobile devices can be in-depth, challenging, and provide just as much gameplay as other platforms. We’re continuing to expand and evolve the whole Celtic Heroes world, and the nomination in the MMO of the Year Awards is genuinely gratifying. We’d like to thank the players and jurors who selected the game and we’re really looking forward to the results with our fingers crossed.”
The awards are chosen by a combination of hand-picked industry judges and visitors to the website. The winners will be announced on February 15th.
