Games Community Invited to Connect with Wider Tech Ecosystem at TecTonic’s Year-End Summit

Following two sold-out events earlier in the year, the hugely popular TecTonic Night Summit is returning on Wednesday, December 10th, for a special festive gathering at The Dockyard Social in Glasgow, and the Scottish Games Network is delighted to be a community partner.

Billed as a “Year-End Exchange,” the event is a festival-style celebration of Scotland’s entire innovation ecosystem. While not a games-specific event, its focus on bringing together founders, creatives, investors, and tech leaders from across the country makes it a great opportunity for the games community to build new connections.

For game developers and studios, the summit offers a unique chance to break out of industry silos and connect with potential collaborators, mentors, and professional services from the wider tech and business sectors.

What to Expect

The evening is designed to be highly interactive, blending a vibrant “Market Square” with practical networking and a festive, celebratory atmosphere. Attendees can expect:

  • A ‘Market Square’ where local startups, makers, and brands will showcase their latest innovations—an ideal opportunity for studios to exhibit their work.
  • Business mentorship and office hours, providing direct access to expert advice and tech career coaching.
  • AI-powered networking designed to connect attendees with the people most relevant to their needs.
  • Exhibitors from a range of business services and ecosystem support organisations.
  • Interactive experiences, live performances, great music, and festive food and drink to close out the year.

Nick Murray, Director of TecTonic MVMT, said of the event:

It feels like we’re at an incredibly exciting moment for Scotland’s games industry, where opportunities are emerging at the intersection of the creative, tech, and entrepreneurship sectors. TecTonic Night Summit is truly where all these worlds converge. It’s a vibrant celebration for founders, creators, builders and innovators to connect, collaborate, and spark new ideas.

This year, we’re bringing in credible games mentors as part of our Office Hours initiative, where attendees can book 1:1 time with industry experts. We’re also piloting a new AI-powered networking tool, that helps attendees find the right people to meet based on their skills, goals, and interests.

Ultimately, TecTonic is about bringing together as many interesting innovators as possible and creating the right conditions for new collaborations and opportunities as we head into 2026.

This is a perfect opportunity for anyone in the games sector to reflect on the year, make valuable new contacts outside of the usual industry circles, and celebrate with the broader Scottish innovation community.
