Who is Scotland’s Smartest Studio? Hubworld Announces Three-City ‘Murder Mystery HubQuiz’

Get your alibis ready. Our friends at Hubworld have announced a new, ambitious HubQuiz, and this time it’s a cross-country competition to find Scotland’s cleverest developers.

Taking place in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Dundee on consecutive nights, the “part pub-quiz and part game-show” event invites all game industry workers to gather their teams and battle for prizes, a trophy, and the ultimate bragging rights.

The theme for this HubQuiz tour is ‘Murder Mystery Night!’ Expect questions, challenges, and… maybe a ‘murder’ mystery to solve. The night will be dedicated to all things noir, detectives, crime, and the classic whodunnit.

A Cross-Country Competition

The quiz is a touring event, with attendees asked to only attend one of the three dates. The locations and dates are:

  • Edinburgh: Tuesday, November 26th @ The Voodoo Rooms (Speakeasy)
  • Glasgow: Wednesday, November 27th @ Revolution (Mitchell St)
  • Dundee: Thursday, November 28th @ Balcony Lounge (Ward Rd)

Teams will be competing for a coveted Studio Trophy, game keys, goodie bags, and a “collection of chaotic prizes.”

How to Join the HubQuiz Fun

On all three nights, doors will open at 6:00 PM, with the quiz scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.

The maximum team size is six people. If you’re attending solo or as part of a smaller group, you can mix and form teams on the day or connect with other attendees beforehand via the Hubworld Discord channels.

After the quiz champion is crowned, the venue is open for the rest of the night for networking and catching up with colleagues from across the industry.
