Games businesses in Scotland – do you want to add a highly trained graduate or master’s level talent to your team for up to three months – with their wages fully covered? The Into Games Boost Programme is coming to the UK in mid-2025, offering an incredible opportunity to boost your studio’s productivity while contributing to a more diverse and inclusive games industry.
The Boost programme connects studios with new and emerging game development talent from low-income and working-class backgrounds. It addresses the challenges highlighted in the 2024 Difficulty Level report, which revealed the difficulties faced by graduates from under-resourced backgrounds in securing their first industry roles. By fully funding the wages of these talented individuals, Boost provides studios with valuable support while giving graduates the crucial first step on their career ladder.
This is a win-win situation: studios gain access to skilled individuals who can contribute to active game development projects, while talented graduates gain invaluable industry experience and a pathway into the games sector. It’s a chance to bring new blood game into the development sector in Scotland – and across the UK – and create a fairer, more representative industry.
