Applications are now open for the Moray Game Jam 2025. MGJ is almost certainly the UK’s most northerly game jam and is officially, the friendliest and most fun.
This year’s jam takes place at the University of the Highlands and Islands Moray College in Elgin from March 7th – 9th 2025.
Competing teams will have only 48 hours to create a videogame or board game based on a theme which will be unveiled at the event. In addition, the jam will feature guest speakers, workshops and a hand-picked line-up of judges and mentors to help teams create something awesome before the games playground, where members of the public can come and play the games and pick the People’s Choice winner.
More Than Just A Jam…
In addition the organisers will be offering social sessions for jammers and judges, pizza, tea, coffee and the opportunity to meet and join the incredible games community across Elgin, Moray, the highlands and across Scotland.
The Moray Game Jam 2025 Judges include games & technology journalist, Laura Cress, indie developer Ally Low, Head of Engineering at Code Wizards, Craig Barron, UHI Lecturer Christopher Acornley and introducing indie game developer and former MGJ winner Corrie Green.
