Team Rock Games – Now Hiring

Ladies and gentlemen, a brand new opportunity has arisen within one of the country’s most exciting new games companies.

Team Rock is a Scottish start-up with a very simple ambition – to become the global home of rock and metal. The company’s new games division is now recruiting, looking for a games programmer and a trivia editor to help explore new ways of bringing music and gaming closer together.

The company is the publisher of Metal Hammer, Classic Rock and Prog, as well as running Team Rock Radio. It also runs the Golden Gods and Classic Rock awards, has links into the world’s biggest festivals and is generally more rock and roll than any other game developer… ever.

The Games Programmer role is simple. Work with the games team to create new concepts and prototypes for games, from simple ways to bring the company’s archives, magazines and radio channels to life, through to building entirely new gaming experiences for the biggest bands in the world… The games will be online initially, moving onto social platforms, mobile and potentially Steam and even console for the right project.

The Trivia Editor is writing and design role.  They will be required to research and create questions, competitions and tournaments for Team Rock’s magazines, the world’s biggest rock and metal bands, the greatest gigs and festivals and find new ways to make use of the 20+ years of exclusive content, interviews and awesome materials from the Team Rock archives – as well as the company’s monthly magazine issues, cover disks, radio shows and MORE. They’ll also work with the rest of the games team to create new concepts.

You’ll be getting in on the ground floor with a games team which is going to grow rapidly, move fast and build entirely awesome new things.

A love of rock and metal is not mandatory, but creativity and a desire to make new things are. Both roles are based in the company’s Scottish HQ and are open NOW.
