SGDA Games Talks Live Returns Next Week Across Edinburgh, Dundee, and Glasgow

Games Talks Live Oct 2026

The Scottish Game Developers Association (SGDA) has announced the return of Games Talks Live, bringing its three-day touring showcase of lightning talks and grassroots networking back to Scotland’s primary development hubs next week.

Running from Tuesday 27 October to Thursday 29 October 2026, the tour will stop in Edinburgh, Dundee, and Glasgow.

Since 2019, Games Talks Live has delivered multiple events across Scotland. The series is engineered around informal, peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, pairing short technical and creative talks with structured networking breaks designed to spark collaboration between local developers, visiting publishers, and platform guests.

Dates and Venues

Each evening follows an identical schedule: doors open at 16:00, with opening remarks and the speaker programme getting underway from 17:00, running through to 22:00.

Format and Hybrid Access

The sessions feature a rotating lineup of Scottish studio talent, independent creators, and visiting industry guests delivering short, focused lightning talks.

To maintain an open, non-transactional environment for grassroots developers and founders, the SGDA enforces a strict event rule: no active recruitment activity, even from event sponsors or stage speakers.

For developers outside the central belt or unable to travel, the final night at Sloans in Glasgow on Thursday 29 October will be broadcast live via YouTube, accompanied by a dedicated online host managing Discord community discussions throughout the evening.

Tickets and Details

In-person tickets are available now via Eventbrite. Free access is provided to staff of SGDA corporate members, and digital-only tickets for the Thursday Glasgow livestream are free of charge.
