Tentacle Zone, the games incubator for developers from underrepresented backgrounds is open for 2022.
Following the success of the 2021 programme, applications are open until April 8th, with the incubator running April – August 2022.
The sponsored four-month programme has been designed to “strap a rocket to your business” and help with technical expertise, mentoring and connections.
Full Programme
Created by Payload Studios, in conjunction with Exient, Tentacle Zone is free to participants. The incubator offers indie developers help with:
- Business and finance
- Team building
- Design, development and production
- Marketing and PR
- Pitching and public speaking
Participants will get Weekly engagement with industry experts across all five tracks, access to mentors, publishers and investors, peer-to-peer learning and access to a virtual community. In addition, indies who complete the incubator will receive continuing personal development (CPD) certification, awarded via the University of Greenwich.
Applications Open To All
Applying involves completing a simple online form. This will be reviewed by a panel of industry folks, with all applicants notified of the final outcome.
Tentacle Zone welcomes applications from early stage founders who are from one or more underrepresented groups including:
- People of colour
- People from lower socio-economic backgrounds
- Underrepresented genders (cis women, non-binary, trans women, trans men and other non-cisgender identities)
- People with disabilities
- People with neurodiversities
- LGBTQ+ individuals
Applicants are encouraged from the UK, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, between the GMT and +4 hours time zone.
