In Cygni, you ARE the last Starfighter: Encamped within the remains of a long-lost civilization on the planet Cygni, Earth forces are decimated by a surprise attack from a powerful, biomechanical , alien race. As one of the last pilots on the last carrier in the fleet, you are the only line of defence against the unyielding alien bombardment.

Cygni enjoys a couple of advantages that should help the game succeed. First of all, the game makes full use of Keelworks’ experience in film post-production. I mean, LOOK AT IT… It’s beautiful. Check out the trailer! Secondly, Cygni is the recipient of an Epic MegaGrant, giving the team the resources and support of the full might of the engine.

Keelworks is promising the game will feature a sweeping cinematic soundtrack, garganutuan boss battles, tech and weapons upgrades and the ability to play offensively, or defensively against ground and air targets.

Cygni will be released on Steam, though there’s no word (yet) on the operating systems supported. You can (and should) add it to your wishlist now.

KeelWorks is a three person Scottish Video Game & Post Production company created by brothers Nareg and Meher Kalenderian, along with Helen Saouma.​

The game has been a work of passion for the founders. Nareg and Helen, the artists and developers behind Cygni, are both highly experienced in the movie industry and have recently entered the gaming scene. Nareg has spent invaluable time at Pixar and has been a lead VFX artist on Hollywood films, and Helen has worked on feature films and television.

Meher is the project manager and business director. Before Cygni he worked in project and grant management, including multi-million pound projects and funds.

There may even be a chance to work on Cygni. According to Keelworks, as the production ramps up, the team will expand to fulfil the company’s ambitions for the game.
