Call for Games: Showcase Your Project at DCA Drop In And Play Dundee Session

Dundee Contemporary Arts (DCA) has issued a call for new and unreleased games to feature in its upcoming Drop In And Play session taking place this August.

The free public showcase gives members of the community an opportunity to try out unreleased titles created by Scottish developers, while offering creators a fabulous opportunity to gather real-world player feedback.

For individual developers, students, and emerging studios across Scotland, Drop In And Play provides a vital testing ground. Exhibiting at the event allows creators to:

Submission Requirements and Criteria

DCA is looking for playable prototypes or finished titles suitable for audiences aged 10 and above. Submissions are welcomed from independent developers, student teams, and established studios.

This event will also include games from Abertay University’s 2026 DARE Academy. The DARE Academy games design competition gives six teams of talented students the opportunity to spend the summer creating their own game with support from expert mentors. Students work together across a range of disciplines to create game prototypes – all of which will be available to play at Drop in and Play.
