Dundee’s Brightsolid, best known as a hosting, cloud and genealogy company has announced the release of it’s first game.
Family House is a new social game for all ages, based around the player’s own family tree. Set in a large rambling family house, the player’s goal is to build and restore the house itself – with family members moving in as space becomes available. The player must keep family members happy, to keep them paying rent.
Players must create and clothe their own avatar, before starting work on the house. Tidying rooms, buying furniture and opening up new space in order to let other family members move in. Players can then choose which other family members to create – partners, parents, children etc. Each family member can be customised and the game features clothes and items spanning centuries. Allowing ancestors from as early as the 17th century to be included.
Family House has been created by Dundee’s Tiger Games, with audio courtesy of Euphonious.
Brightsolid’s Chief Executive Officer, Richard Higgs said:
Family House enables everyone aged from four to one hundred and four to share their family history. The game is great fun in its own right and provides an ability to bring generations together.
